Selecting the right size compression stocking

How do I know what size to order?

Proper fitting support stocking will give you the most therapeutic results. It is best to measure early in the day when swelling is at its lowest.

 

Jobst Medical Legwear or Sigvaris Medical Therapy 

If you are purchasing medical compression stockings by JOBST (15 mmHg or higher) SIGVARIS (20 mmHg or higher), please follow these instructions carefully to determine the correct size for different products styles.

Different product styles will require different measurements. Once you have decided the style you want, these measurements will be needed: 
1. For knee high, measure ankle circumference, calf circumference, and calf length
2. For thigh high and pantyhose, measure ankle circumference, calf circumference, thigh circumference and thigh length

Please record these measurements.  Determine your size by using the appropriate SIZE CHART (below) for the specific brand and product you have chosen.

Jobst SupportWear (8-15 mmHg) or Sigvaris Support Therapy (15-20 mmHg)

For some Jobst SupportWear (8-15 mmHg), Sigvaris Support Therapy (15-20 mmHg), and Rohner Compression socks, sizes are determined by your SHOE SIZE. When making a purchase, simply choose the appropriate size that corresponds to your shoe size. For thigh high and pantyhose stockings, sizes are determined by height and weight.
